ABOUT THE ARTIST
I LOVE mixed media. I went 20 years as a painter only using paint. It has been invigorating and inspiring to see the crossover and materials working together. I use drawing, painting, collage, printmaking and gel transfers in addition to sculptural items like wire, wood and fabric. I use donated materials that otherwise would end up in a landfill. I feel good about giving these items new life and am inspired with the materials as the layers grow.
ABOUT THE ART
My mixed media pieces incorporate gel transfers, collage, wire, felt and many other repurposed materials to make fun house 'portraits'.
