ABOUT THE ARTIST
As a South Florida artist, I've drawn inspiration from the tropical world around me. I'm constantly looking at the different elements that define my environment and try to imagine how I can translate them into my own unique style and perspective. While the subjects of my paintings are at the forefront, the thing that ultimately drives the inspiration for each piece is the process of deconstruction through light seen throughout all of my paintings. Eliminating elements from each piece in order to create a more engaging image. I'm able to do this through the use of handmade watercolor paints on specialty primed canvas. Creating a stark yet ethereal quality to my work that allows for larger scale paintings.
ABOUT THE ART
My work revolves around the use of handmade watercolor paints on specialty primed canvas. While drawing inspiration from the tropical world around me, this technique provides a stark yet ethereal quality that allows for larger scale paintings.
