ABOUT THE ART
I paint with fiber reactive silk dyes on handwoven Indian dupione using a combination of airbrush and dry brush.The dyes are steamed into the silk and repeatedly layered and steamed until the desired depth of color and detail is achieved.
ABOUT THE ARTIST
I am and have always been in awe of the construct of nature and specifically botany. The structure , color and spirit of a plant and it's ability to elevate our sense of well being and joy is what motivates me to try to capture it's beauty.
