Inspired by my homeland’s vibrant color, I hand-paint bold cubist works using one-line and contour techniques—dynamic pieces that reveal new images when flipped or rotated. Each painting is a living dialogue of memory across a lifetime.
ABOUT THE ARTIST
I’m RAISA, a contemporary cubist painter. I’m inspired by my Peruvian roots—vibrant color, layered memories, and the emotional “noise” of everyday life: love, ambition, pressure, and growth. I translate those experiences into faces and figures that feel familiar yet fragmented, like the way we remember.
My work is acrylic on canvas, built through one-line drawing and contour mapping. I use bold geometry, clean edges, and intentional negative space to create images that shift depending on how you view them. Many pieces reveal new faces or meanings when flipped or rotated. I want each painting to function like a visual conversation: energetic on first impact, then deeper the longer you stay with it.
