ABOUT THE ARTIST
I create one-of-a-kind, hollow, classic vessels with an emphasis on form and balance. I use a lathe and specialty hand tools. Some works include surface texturing, tinting, and bleaching as added features. The unique creative features in each piece of wood, as presented by 'Mother Nature' is the main inspiration during design phase of my works.
ABOUT THE ART
My works are contemporary artistic lidded wooden vessels created from a variety of exotic woods and burls using the hollow-formed woodturning techniques to obtain a well-balanced vessel. The surface finish for each vessel is several carefully applied coats of a high-quality pre-catalyzed lacquer.
