Printmaking
ABOUT THE ART

I create relief prints by meticulously carving designs into linoleum or wood, then transferring these images onto paper with ink and applied pressure. My work is distinguished by its intricate patterns and vibrant use of color.

ABOUT THE ARTIST

In my work, I employ a variety of patterns and colors. This requires carving and printing multiple plates to achieve my final image. To save resources and minimize registration variables, I use stencils to selectively apply color to specific compositional elements. This allows me to print multiple colors on each plate. Approaching my work in this manner requires ‘backward thinking’ and problem-solving, two aspects of printmaking that intrigue me and keep me interested.
