ABOUT THE ART
I initially learned oil painting but switched to acrylics. I like canvas for my larger pieces and using wood for my smaller paintings. I prepare a good number of my own boards. I incorporate other mediums such as oil pastels, alcohol inks, spray paint, and various mediums.
ABOUT THE ARTIST
The figures l produce in my work are often in a narrative or fable to educate and serve reminders. All my work acts as self therapy and a way to maintain emotional well-being. I had to transition to acrylics from oils so my work retains a luminosity from that period in my life. Spray paint and stencils, add another layer of depth as well as managing the delicate detail lines.
