ABOUT THE ART
Contemporary abstracts created by applying numerous translucent layers of oil over a wash of Flashe vinyl emulsion. Notable for beautifully blended transitions, saturated color and expressive mark-making. Accented with cold wax, pigment sticks and graphite. Originals only.
ABOUT THE ARTIST
I am endlessly inpired by the push and pull of nature against the urbanenvironment. Rust, decay and patinas, they all tell a story through the emergence of color and texture over what was meant to be modern world pristine.
My techniques include a lot of blending with hake brushes to create smooth transitions of color. This is further accented by glazing techniques to pop the saturation.
