I've got blue collar blood and I believe that the secret to life is to roll up your sleeves and get your hands dirty. I work on top of newspaper covered canvas for lots of reasons...but mostly because I like the texture of it and how it actually makes paintings sound like the chatter of a busy city. My work, like me, is messy. But it works.
