About the ART
My process involves building up soft, luminous layers of acrylic paint and gel medium. Over time, the imagery emerges—loose and atmospheric at first, then slowly refined with thousands of tiny, directional brushstrokes. The use of smooth, solid backgrounds brings a contemporary clarity to the work.

About the ARTIST
My creative process begins with close observation of the natural world. I’m drawn to the hidden rhythms and quiet dramas unfolding among plants and animals. Each species I study becomes a character in a visual story—alive with gesture and meaning—as they interact with one another and their environments.
I’m also deeply influenced by the decorative arts, and I enjoy weaving those sensibilities into each piece. A Chinoiserie influence often appears in my work, alongside echoes of Audubon, Merian, and Gould—artists whose devotion to nature and detail continues to inspire me.
Endangered and extinct species are recurring themes. I often pair regional birds and creatures with complementary trees, vines, and flowers, combining scientific curiosity with aesthetic harmony.
