About the ARTIST

Maher uses a variety of mark making and layers of glazing to achieve texture, movement and atmosphere in her oil paintings. Her work explores light across form and figure, she uses ordinary often overlooked scenes as the foundation for her impactful pieces.

I find inspiration in ordinary moments in the man made world that are transformed into beauty by light color and paint. I use various mark making using brushes, squeegees, rollers, palette knife, paper towels and gloves hand.
