About the ART
I primarily work with oil paint on canvas or wood panels. My process begins with a vibrant underpainting, often in warm tones, to establish energy and guide the composition. This layer adds depth and luminosity, peeking through subsequent layers of paint.

About the ARTIST
I’m Kim Smith, I live in Lancaster, Pa and have had the love of art in my soul my entire life. I received my BFA in Communication Design from Kutztown University and owned TCG Design for over 30 years. Even though it was a creative business, something was always missing. After the last of my three children became a bit more independent, I really felt the need to pursue my love of painting. So I made a commitment to wake up before the sun to paint. The daily practice became a perfect fit for my busy life. I strive to delight and make the world more beautiful, one painting at a time.
