About the ARTIST
I am a Nigerian American painter whose work explores the intersection of music, memory, and emotional resonance. Educated in painting at Yaba College of Technology and graphic design at the Art Institute of Pittsburgh (B.A., 2012), Said’s practice spans media—from early experiments in pencil and pastel to his current focus on large-scale acrylics. My paintings are theatrical and tactile, marked by fauvist color, expressionist gesture, and layered surfaces that suggest time and archive. Thes works transform private recollection into communal experience, inviting viewers to feel rhythm, ritual, and the emotional architecture of color. Based in Columbus, Ohio, I exhibit widely in solo and group shows, and an active member of the Worthington Area Art League, the Guild of Artists & Artisans, and the Ohio Art League. I offer commissions, murals, studio visits, and artist talks centered on process and music-informed composition.
