About the ART
I create textured paintings on maps of the places I have been. I use unorthodox materials in my work. Maps bonded to wood panels and a thick impasto technique is used to paint scenes of a location. Using objects found at the location as a paintbrush, such as a Metro Card or a stone.

About the ARTIST
I create textured paintings on maps of the places I have been. Now based in Stockton, NJ but spent many years living and working in California. I use unorthodox and non-traditional materials in my work. Maps are bonded to wood panels and a thick impasto (palette knife) technique is used to paint scenes of a location. My work is further personalized by using objects found at the location as a paintbrush, such as a Metro Card or a stone. The result is a tactile, layered piece of art that aims to convey the unique look, sounds and vibe of a particular place.
