About the ART
About the ARTIST

My process includes layering acrylic paint, colored pencils & sticks, drips and splashes as well as palate knife edging. As a colorist, I take a question or a feeling and let the paint flow and surprise me. In finishing, however, I use both Intuitive and intentional strokes until I feel completion.

Everyday shapes intrigue me looking beyond the form and seeing the abstract. Everything for me is a shape. From the sidewalks, to cracks in the wall, to the side of a mountain my mind forms abstract puzzle pieces to form a whole. My favorite paintings are always the ones I don't remember painting. I am someplace else. When you see my work up close, I want you to see the paint moving, the details of the strokes, the layers of paint and then back away from the piece to see something entirely different. My process includes layering acrylic paint, moulding paste, drips and splashes as well as palate knife edging. I am always grateful that creativity is my passion and my life's work.
