I am a storyteller, and the words I speak are cotton and silk. Utilizing vintage, recycled and hand dyed cloth I endeavor to share a vision. Each artwork is created with an original hand drawn charcoal sketch. I do not trace or use photography for my inspiration; they are all images from my sketchbook. I hand cut each piece of fabric and layer hundreds of pieces to get the exact valuation of colors. My work celebrates the power of a single captured moment. Believing that rich pattern, vibrant color, and deep texture marry to create a body of work which exemplifies “more is more”. I seek simplicity while rejoicing in the complexities of life. More happiness, more peace and more time with those we love is the heartbeat of my collection.
