ABOUT THE ARTIST
I am fascinated by the qualities of light that can be suggested by paint, how manipulating that paint can create mood in my landscape paintings. Opaque textured passages of oil paint juxtaposed with transparent glasslike layers make for lively surfaces with intriguing color.

Imagined landscapes are created in oil paint without the use of photos or studies. Using opaque and transparent layers to create color, depth and mood, I seek a transcendent quality of light.
