ABOUT THE ARTIST
At heart I’m an impressionist landscape painter, drawn to natural and peaceful subject matter. My paintings are intended to help re-connect people with the natural world and evoke a sense of inner peace. They are influenced by contemporary plein-air and early-20th century American Impressionists.
ABOUT THE ART
Oil paint is applied using a combination of wet-on-wet and wet-over-dry applications to create layers, textural interest, and a sense of depth. Strong composition and color harmony is emphasized. Subjects are chosen to evoke a feeling of peace and calm energy.
