I see endless possibilities in exploring the world around me with stripes & color. I think of it as calling attention to the little details. Ever since the first time I created a recognizable subject with stripes (back in the late 80s), I knew it was what I wanted to explore for the rest of my life
ABOUT THE ART
I interpret my subjects with vibrant stripes, redefining and exploring a structure with bands of color.
I stretch heavy cotton canvas around manufactured heavy duty stretcher bars so it has a clean edge. I prep my own canvases for oil paint with medium grey gesso.
