ABOUT THE ARTIST
I am collage artist inspired by anatomy, vintage drawings, nature, and pattern. I reference old scientific illustrations of anatomy, floral, and fauna as starting points for my artwork. I use patterns from wallpapers to create the artwork, layering and juxtaposing images and colors.
ABOUT THE ART
I upcycle wallpaper by ripping the paper into pieces and reconfiguring the torn images, patterns, and colors to create a greater whole. One sees an overall image first and small vignettes close up.
Collages are made on cradled canvas that is then sealed and UV varnished.
