ABOUT THE ARTIST
I am inspired by the process, just showing up and being. I don’t plan too much about the painting in advance or think about what it is supposed to mean, I just paint and through the action, I find myself in a unique position of exploring and existing. The brush is an extension of my hand and soul.
ABOUT THE ART
I use a variety of dry and wet materials for my mixed media pieces such as charcoal, pastel, color pencil, watercolor, acrylic, ink and mica flake. I use brushes, palette knives and my fingers to apply the mediums to watercolor paper. My process is spontaneous and intuitive, discovering as I work.
