ABOUT THE ARTIST
If it's a choice between the city and the woods, I'll take the woods. My work revolves around my love of the forest, using a masking technique that has both elements of batik and print making. The process gives me a graphic quality I like that contrasts with the fluidity of the watercolor.
ABOUT THE ART
Mixed Water-media on paper on canvas. I use alternating layers of masking fluid and paint to block out the forms, highlighting tree shapes in landscapes and tree portraits. The paintings are sealed & presented without glass with a metal wrap
