ABOUT THE ARTIST
My inspiration is experiential, things I see in life. The painting process involves building up layers with oil paint and cold wax, then removing. The scraping or carving of areas of color to reveals the underlying story, the color hidden below. It is both an additive and removal process.
ABOUT THE ART
Composed of countless layers of color built up in oil, memories interpreted through color, pattern & line. Scraped & carved quickly which creates energy in each piece. Each an exploration resulting in moody & abstract images that somehow feel familiar and lead you meandering off into the distance.
