Rooted in Impressionism, my contemporary oil paintings feature Alla Prima brushwork and simplified backgrounds. Old school, free drawn draftsmanship facilitates sensitive emotional expression.
ABOUT THE ARTIST
I am continuing to lean into an allegorical new series featuring mature faces wearing nests with birds in them like crowns. Rittenhouse was the first place I showed them and they have resonated with collectors ever since. I work in oils with a painterly approach and loose brushwork that facilitate the expressiveness of my figures.
