ABOUT THE ART

Collages of multiple bodies of work were a long time coming. Each piece is as different and diverse as the complex stacks of work that accumulate in my studio.

ABOUT THE ARTIST

Teri's artistic journey is deeply rooted in her experiences and surroundings. Growing up in Mississippi and spending years in South Florida has shaped her unique perspective. Her work reflects a diverse range of visual arts, showcasing her evolution as an artist.

In her current projects, Teri focuses on collage and assemblage, using materials that tell a story—like recycled items from her barn and remnants of past creations. This process of deconstruction and reconstruction allows her to weave together her artistic history and emotional growth, creating pieces that resonate with depth and meaning.

Living in the countryside with her husband Lou and their rescue animals provides her with the tranquility needed for creativity. Each artwork serves as a dialogue between her past experiences and her present, celebrating both her journey and the materials she repurposes. Teri's art not only captures her individual growth but also invites viewers to reflect on their own stories and transformations.
