ABOUT THE ART
From a coil or slab of white, red or paper clay I hand built decorative ceramic pieces hand painted with slips, stain, underglazes and glazes. Wall sculptures are fire to cone 5, 6 and also some pieces are fire to low temperaturecone 05, 06.
ABOUT THE ARTIST
I get inspirations from words or sayings of the English language. The form is created by a humorist interpretation of the meaning of the words. I combine the ancient technique of coil building with a modern line drawing of underglaze monoprinting on clay with newsprint paper and slip.
