About the ARTIST
The process is both meticulous and intuitive. Every vinyl I use has to match the energy and aesthetics of the piece I'm creating. I hand carve with a wood burning tool, glue, and layer them carefully, paying close attention to how the labels, the grooves, and the color palette come together. The labels themselves become part of the narrative—a vivid, intricate detail that adds dimension and character to the finished work. The result is a fusion of music history, artistry, and craftsmanship. It has allowed me to create new friendships and made me open my mind to new ideas. Records were something that I have always enjoyed. I have my own collection and always found records that were bad but just kept them. Music helps me focus, and I had so many records that were messed up that I needed to do something that would show them off since they couldn't be played. I thought carving them would be cool because it would preserve the look of a record while giving it a new life.
