Keith Holt

I was blessed in my first career to coach the art of gymnastics for decades, and observe how not only the movements and lines the students created in their routines was beautiful but how their spirit influenced the experience for the gymnast and the observer. Similarly, as an artist, I love to create flowing movements and expressions through my forms while imbuing the spirit of the moment in each piece. This is done by a combination of woodturning, carving, and striving to be in the moment during this creative process. Some of the pieces are painted to simplify the form. The challenge of my art is to find the fewest lines in a piece to convey a feeling, while utilizing attributes of the materials towards this goal.
