About the ART

This work is done in gouache, layering colors and patterns to mimic the complexity of a natural scene. The work gives the sense of precision and realism but is actually built of fluid, somewhat random and rapid brushstrokes,
drawing parallels with calligraphy and abstraction.

About the ARTIST

My work is about interaction with places in time. I look for patterns, and try to use the application of paint to mimic them. The work is observational, but not realist, instead meandering between abstraction, pattern making, and even elements of calligraphy when viewed up close.
