About the ART
Oil on canvas landscape paintings of rural Virginia. Inspiration stems from the artist's generational family farm, and its peaceful animal neighbors.
There's an emphasis on capturing light, along with a vibrant color palette. Pieces are completed in 1-2 sittings, with brush and knife.

About the ARTIST
I'm fortunate to live on my great grandparents' farm in Virginia, which presents itself in a lot of my work. Some of the farm scenes echo back to memories of my grandfather during my childhood. There's a heavy emphasis on light/shadow and calculated composition, both making the works more dynamic. Critters often show up in my scenes as "easter eggs". Living in a hunting area, I'm a firm believer these animals have a right to live alongside us peacefully.
